A sneak-peak of
“I’m Sorry God” by Shera Hastings

Introduction

I want to preface by stating that I make no claims to be an expert, a Bible scholar, or to be even formally educated with a Master of Divinity degree or any type of degree for that matter. This is my first attempt at becoming a writer. I don't make claims to know everything and there is a possibility that I could be wrong about some things. However, I do have the best intentions and the best teacher... The Holy Spirit! All glory to God!

Nonetheless, it's important to understand that you should never follow anyone 100% of the time because we may not agree on everything and that is okay. Each person may have a different interpretation and a different walk with Jesus Christ. With that being said, you must always bring whatever you take away from this book to God for confirmation always. Please! I beg that you do that.

I do not claim to be a prophetess or an apostle. Jesus Christ called his twelve followers disciples, so I prefer that title. However, it's not about titles, fame, or fortune. I am writing this book so that I can help with spreading the gospel to all of the land in preparation for the Master's return. He is returning very soon. Jesus Christ lives in all of us so that means technically that He is already here.

Now that we got that out of the way; allow me to introduce myself. I am a born-again Christian who received revelation from God. My walk with God started four years ago while I was in the thick of my sins. I was spinning my wheels and Jesus Christ saved me! I can't believe He chose me! I am so unworthy; it's not even funny. In the same way Israel messed up so many times... I myself felt that I was past the point of no return.

My goal with this book is to help you understand our Holy Family and what it means to be just that... Family. My hope with this book is to plant the seeds for the lost. God will water them for you as you start your journey.

Your journey with God is yours and yours alone and it is a lifelong journey. Maybe you have been unsuccessful in your efforts in hearing and/or seeing him. Maybe you are struggling to discern between the truth and the lies. Trust and believe that He has always been there observing you and God is in the details. This is his world.

"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."
Proverbs 3:5-6, KJV

Who is Jesus Christ?

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
John 3:16, KJV

Jesus Christ is by far the most important man in human history. He is the man, the myth, and the legend. A pivotal time in our history as the human race dates back to when the Son of God was born. Our King of Kings and Lord of Lords, Jesus Christ was born in the town of Bethlehem, Israel.

His brief life included studying Torah and living the Jewish way of life. He was an extraordinary teacher and Rabbi. His ministry started in approximately 30 CE and at the tender age of 30 years old. It was around 33 A.D. when the most horrific event ever occurred in history.

The one and only Begotten Son of God was accused by the Jewish Sanhedrin of blasphemy. He was ultimately crucified on the cross under the rule of Pontius Pilate and the Roman Empire for spreading the truth.

I can't believe that my ancestors did that to the Son of God. That we murdered Him for no good reason. He completed miracles upon miracles, and He spoke the truth. There are so many parallels that translate into the current times we are living in now. We are seeing speech being censored, rights being taken away, and evil being called good.

To put it into perspective: He is the Son of God. He was sinless and He beat satan at the cross. Yet his death proved to be so much more to Christians all over the world. His death represents His sacrifice of dying for our sins. To be the spotless lamb and to save humanity.

"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
John 14:6, KJV

God the Father loved humanity so much that He sent His only begotten son to provide a path to obtaining eternal salvation. No other religion can provide eternal salvation. Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life.

Never did he boast that he was God. Never did he demand that people worship him. Unlike the many false gods we see people idolizing today. Jesus Christ is not a character unlike anyone else. Jesus Christ was a true servant. He was meek and innocent. There were many important events that took place during his short time here on earth.

Who is satan?

"And no marvel; for satan himself is transformed into an angel of light."
2 Corinthians 11:14, KJV

I want you to repeat after me: satan is a loser! satan is a loser! satan is a loser!

Understand this; we are very much at war. A war that has been going on for millenniums. Just like a general of an army in war; we must study our adversary. Hence, if satan is a loser; then why are so many Christians scared of even speaking about him? It states in the Bible not to fear over four hundred times.

If you are a true Christian; satan has no power over you. His power has been relinquished because you are no longer a slave to sin and idolatry.

I declare that it is time for you to proclaim your authority in Jesus Christ. God has already prophesied that satan is a defeated foe. He is going to burn in the lake of fire for eternity! Amen! Hallelujah!

"And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever."
Revelation 20:10, KJV

The Truth About satan

Who exactly is satan? Just for clarity, satan does not deserve respect or dignity from anyone let alone a Christian. Nor does evil get respect. Therefore, when I refer to his name satan; his name(s) will never receive the correct grammatical annotations. All lowercase always.

Let me be very clear: it does not state anywhere in the Bible that we must respect or tolerate evil. This is a lie from the enemy to trick us into accepting him.

We see how this strategy has been successful with the way evil has infiltrated every sector of our country to include our government, the education sector, and the private sector. If you cannot see that Bible Prophecy is playing out in front of your very own eyes; then please pray for God to give you ears to hear and eyes to see the truth as soon as possible.

Forgiveness

"For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses."
Matthew 6:14-15, KJV

Forgiveness is key in walking out your salvation in fear and trembling. Nonetheless, there is an appropriate way to handle conflict according to the Holy Bible. How can Jesus forgive you of all your sins if you cannot forgive the ones who have done you wrong?

Forgiveness does not mean you just tell yourself that you forgive a person who has hurt you. I'm sorry to say; forgiveness requires some level of reconciliation despite what society tells you.

I know it's easier said than done; however, if someone has hurt you or sinned against you; the appropriate thing is to pick up the phone and apologize and to say the words: I forgive you. Don't ever forget that there is an action in forgiveness.

This resonates with me because I have family members who say I have done them wrong. I have reached out on multiple occasions, and I have even gotten their kids gifts and to my surprise; they returned them. Don't get comfortable with hate. It's not of Jesus.

In addition, there are many means of communication. Whether it's by phone, text, email, or social media; you have many options. Now forgiveness does not mean to reconcile completely. Trust me; you must be smart as a serpent but gentle as a dove (Matthew 10:16).

The Twofold Path of Forgiveness:
1 The inward decision to release offense
2 The outward attempt at reconciliation
